Sup - just had mine done a day ago - the Reaper was to cover up a previous name of my ex-wife, I don't regret getting that one done cuz she's stuck with my 7 letter name on her tiny arm, and I only had 4 letters to cover.
The barb wire is because of where I work and what I do for the DoD, the Reaper is not only my nickname but a large part of my dark humor and other things that ties even into my passion for sports cars, even a 927 hp flat black 911 twin turbo. Its not about image, its about power, its about passion...nothing more.
The nickname "REAPER" on my neck is just that - how I label and see myself - keeps most people from talking to me, but usually people worth knowing aren't afraid to approach. The past bit since I had it done has been an eye opener for me if my tattoos are visable...
The number 13 on my right side of my neck is NOT for some gang crap - its to showcase my becoming and understanding the transformation my life has had in the past 6 years working in a war zone and things that go along with it. Death, misfortune, and untold knowledge are what it represents and I think its pretty accurate of who I am.
